why we built this.

not another habit tracker. something quieter.

you're not behind most apps get it wrong who this is for the soft launch phase life in beta
01

you're not behind.

the problem isn't that you're lazy or uncommitted. it's that every app you've tried was built for someone who already has the habit, someone who just needs to track it. soft launch was built for everyone else. for the trying phase. for the figuring-it-out phase. for the becoming.

02

most apps get it wrong.

they ask 'did you hit your number?' they punish gaps with broken streaks. they measure your worth in days completed. soft launch asks a different question: are you moving in a direction you're proud of? no streaks. no targets. no shame. just you, your photos, and the thing you're building.

03

who this is for.

the 'i'm not a real ___' person. not a real runner, cook, or reader, but wants to be. the recovering perfectionist who quits when they miss a day. the person in a life transition, new city, new job, post-grad, rebuilding from scratch and needing low-stakes permission to try things without committing to them.

04

the soft launch phase.

in tech, a soft launch is strategy, not weakness. it's what smart people do when something isn't ready to be perfect yet. you're always soft launching a new version of yourself, a habit, a hobby, an era. soft launch is the app for that in-between. the moments before the big reveal. the attempts before the identity. the trying before the arriving.
